Road 2 Gold Omaha Mini Session June 20 & 21

Skaters Single Loop jump and above will be divided into groups of 7-9 athletes of similar levels. Each group will be scheduled for: 

• one 15 minute on ice warm up or power class with Gracie and Geoff
• one 30 minute small group lesson with Gracie Gold
• one 30 minute small group lesson with Geoff Varner
• two 30 minute off ice classes. High Performance Mental Trainer Rebekah Dixon will be joining us from Canada via Zoom for Saturday off ice and Jason Dilworth will lead the 2nd off ice class. The cost of this mini camp is $80.00 per participant.

Sample schedule: times will vary depending on the small group you are assigned:

7:30-7:45am On Ice warm up or Power with Gracie and Geoff

7:45-8:15am Group class with Gracie

8:15-8:45am Group class with Geoff

9:00-9:30am Off Ice class

9:40-10:10am Off Ice class

 

Saturday groups will be skaters who are working on  axel and above. Sunday groups will be skaters landing Loop jump to single axel. Skaters may choose to register for one mini camp session that includes all of the above listed classes or may purchase both a morning session and an afternoon session. Morning sessions are 7:30-10:15am. Afternoon sessions are1:00-3:45pm.

Sunday  June 21

You may choose the morning session, the afternoon session or both

Each Session includes 30 minutes on ice with Gracie Gold, 30 minutes on ice with Geoffry Varner, 45 minutes off ice

- Morning Session 8:00-10:00am

-Afternoon Session 1:30-3:30pm

The cost of each session is $60.00 per skater

Limited Private lessons will be available at an additional cost and will be sold beginning Friday June 12 . These will be offered in the order in which skaters register for the mini camp.

Freestyle time is available at an extra cost. Camp Participants may purchase the freetstyle time $13.00 per hour. Non Camp participants may purchase ice if available for $18.00 per hour

We will attempt to put adults in their own group but may have to combine adults and youth depending on registration numbers.

All camp activities will take place at Ralston Arena in Omaha NE. June 20-21

Due to ice restrictions, spaces  are very limited. This Road to Gold Mini Session will be filled on a 1st come 1st served basis. All facility rules particularly related to COVID guidelines will be followed.

In the event that this mini session is canceled for unforseen circumstances, paid participants will receive a full refund.

By registering for this event you agree that the management and staff of Ralston Arena and The Road to Gold Training Camps may not be held liable for any injury or illness sustained during this activity. Athletes agree to participate at their own risk

COVID Safety Precautions

 Everyone in the arena will be required to wear a face covering of some kind. The skaters can choose to remove those while they are on the ice. Coaches will wear a face covering.

Each group of up to 9 skaters will be on separate halves of the ice except for a 15 minute warm up period when they are together on full ice. We feel that this should give them enough space to remain physically distant.

Off Ice classes may be held outside except for the Zoom class on Saturday which will be held in a room with sufficient space to distance the skaters. If weather prohibits being outside, skaters will use a space in the arena large enough to physically distance.

Hand sanitizer will be available at all times and skaters will be encouraged to use it between classes.

I hope this helps. I know that this is an uncertain time but we feel that it is important to try to give these kids a little bit of "normalcy" and we feel that we can do this in a safe environment
